79. Listening to the dream

The afternoon is hiding behind the evening sun,
Far away from your eyes and mine.

Where did your feet take you today?
Did you walk down the familiar path or venture down the cobbled walkway,
Tripping over jutting scars,
Scraping your knees on painful memories?

Where lies your purpose?

What dreams do you harbour deep inside the silence of your heart?
Remember your voice,
And mine.

78. Magic can happen

We have only this moment between us,
This breath that we share.
But it’s not hard to believe
That magic can happen if we dare.

Be counted,
Stand.
Be seen,
Raise your hand.
Go on, be heard,
Sing.
Be alive,
Be the light you bring.

Our hands are never empty.
Our hearts can always love,
Our lives do matter,
We’re from the stars above.

So be counted,
Get up, stand.
Be seen,
Throw up your hands.
Go on, be heard,
Sing!
Be alive,
Be the light you bring.

We have only this moment between us,
This breath that we share.
But it’s not hard to believe
That magic can happen if we dare.

75. Sidewalk

I’ve walked on it,
I’ve stepped off it,
I’ve fallen flat on my face;
I’ve picked myself
Right off the ground
And kept walking on with grace.

72. Waiting

After every storm,
came the gentle morning breeze,
wrapping her arms around me and whispering in my ear
the secrets I was not brave enough to hear.

After every storm,
came the hope of a better tomorrow,
the silent lifting of the clouds,
the distant raising of the glass to the sky.

After every storm,
I’ve waited.
And that precious tomorrow has finally become today.

66. Angels

Do you believe in angels?
Hovering around you,
Wings coated in gold?

Do you believe in angels?
Standing beside you,
Making you glow?

Do you believe in angels?
Gently lifting you,
Holding you close?

Do you believe in angels?
Listening to you,
Healing your soul?

59. Scribbles in your notebook

Why do you let your words remain silent?
They are more than scribbles in your notebook.

That secret you hold deep in your heart,
That love that nobody knows about,
That thought that keeps you from breaking apart,
Are but mere scribbles in your notebook.

Set them free.
