She was beautiful, long ago.
She had a carefree smile and she swung her hips seductively as she walked.
He couldn’t ever take his eyes off her.
That was a long time ago.
Now, they sit beside each other like strangers, unable to bear the sharing of their common breath.
No words fill the space between them.
She had grown inwards, unable to comprehend the loss he was experiencing.
She was still beautiful; but he couldn’t see her face anymore.
