And you thought all I had to do was just believe.
I didn’t think it really matters now.
The silence has stretched too far
and the road is too narrow
for you to walk beside me.
Whatever I thought,
Whatever I wished for,
Whatever I believed –
it was all for nothing.
Solitude is my sole companion.
The compassion of a thousand lives
spoke not a word to me;
The love of a thousand more
left me sore.
I thought it would be different this time,
the shadow of a thousand souls left me staring into my own abyss.
